She's already been around and about as a fashion model for years working on massive campaigns for the likes of Calvin Klein, Gucci, L'Oreal, etc (and produced a family after her rise to quick fame) but who can get over Natalia Vodianova? She has definitely one of the most striking angelic faces I've seen on a supermodel.

Her story is just as striking as her face. Wikipedia.com incompletely reports she started a fruit stall business, enrolled in a modeling school and then went to castings where an agent told her she could make it big if she learned English. Natalia has said on several TV interviews she was actually discovered while manning her fruit stall in her impoverished Russian hometown of Gorky (now Nizhni Novgorod) by a scout from Paris.

She is now married to wealthy (and royal) real estate heir Justin Portman. Check her out on YouTube. She comes across as a very sweet person with a deep grasp of her humble beginnings, building children's parks in poor areas in Russia which she has personally visited.

DRAMA

Not everybody celebrated her success however. Natalia has said in another TV interview that upon one visit to her hometown in Russia during her rise to fame, a few people wanted to get her by planning to slash her face! She got a warning and fortunately no crime was committed.
